It doesn't have the frills of some other mice. It isn't wireless, and it doesn't have any fancy customization. Some of the paint choices are questionable in taste or as we like to call them ugly.

If you want a no frills mouse that'll keep up with your first person shooter needs, then yes. We find it so affortable and nice to have around we have a couple.

Why Madcat Cyborg R.A.T 7 the best gaming mouse.We love this mouse. The Mad Catz Cyborg R.A.T 7 can be customized by it's user for his or hers preferences. Too heavy? Take out some weights. Don't like where the thumb rest is? Adjust it. It's also the most solidly built mouse we've ever had. The mouse though can take some getting use to and fiddling with adjustments before it will feel right.

We love it and it's wireless brother despite it's flaws. Of course had we experienced the tracking issue we might feel differently it's hard to say.
